The Original Breen Building with old faded yellow and green paintA Building with Stories to Tell

Union Station Brewing Company isn’t just a brewery—it’s a piece of Jesup’s history. Our home, the Breen Building (a.k.a. the Ingleside Hotel), has been standing tall since 1888, serving generations of locals, travelers, and rail workers.

Back in the day, the first floor was a bustling hub of businesses, hosting everything from First Bank of Jesup to Breen Hardware and a handful of general stores. Over the years, it evolved into a collection of unique shops—The Gallery, Cherry Street Mall, Mr. Brian’s Pants Shack (yes, that was real), Cup-O-Books, Trader Jacks, and most recently, Café Euro.

Meanwhile, upstairs, the Ingleside Hotel was home to weary travelers and railroad workers catching some rest before hitting the tracks again. The original hotel had 22 rooms, each equipped with a small sink, while guests shared toilets and (if they were lucky) a bathtub. A central shower and changing area kept things extra communal—ah, the charm of the old days!

Breen Building painted with cherry and greyA Fresh Look for a Storied Landmark

For over a century, our corner of W. Cherry Street & SW Broad Street has been a downtown Jesup staple. But until 2022, the building wore its history in the form of a very faded pale yellow, accented with the infamous “Breen Green”—a nod to the hardware store days. Then, in ‘22, we gave it a glow-up. Today, our building stands proudly in rich cherry red and sleek gray, a fresh new look for a place that still holds all the character of its past.

So whether you’re here for the beer, the history, or just a good time, know that every pint poured inside these walls is part of a story that started long before we tapped our first keg. Welcome to Union Station Brewing Company—where the past and present raise a glass together.
